Rapid Process Diagnostic: Readiness Scorecard
A 2-minute self-check to see if you are ready for a rapid diagnostic and what the next best step is.
If you are considering a process improvement effort, this scorecard helps you quickly assess whether the conditions are in place to move fast - and where a small amount of prep would remove friction before you start.
You will answer 20 short statements across 5 areas:
Goal clarity - do we agree on what success looks like?
Process visibility - do we understand the steps and the bottlenecks?
Data readiness - do we have enough usable data to act with confidence?
Governance and execution - can decisions be made and trials run quickly?
Change capacity - can people engage and follow through?How to complete the scorecard
1. Choose one real process you care about (for example, a production line, an approvals workflow, an onboarding process, a service desk, or call centre process).
2. For each statement, select 0, 1, or 2. (NB: Answer based on the situation today, not what you hope will be true next month).
3. Be direct. Your immediate, gut-knowledge, honest answers produce the most useful results. (NB: Optimistic answers produce noise).
Scoring - what the numbers mean
Each statement is scored as follows:
2 - Solidly true (consistently true, no caveats).
1 - Partly true (sometimes true, or true with some exceptions).
0 - Not true yet (not in place, or mostly absent).
Your total score is shown out of 40. You will also see a score out of 8 for each of the 5 sections as you complete the form.
Score bands (overall):
Tier 1 - Not ready yet: start with scoping and visibility first.
Tier 2 - Partly ready: proceed with a tightly scoped diagnostic.
Tier 3 - Ready: proceed with a full Rapid Process Diagnostic.
What happens when you finish
1. On this page, you will immediately see your overall score (out of 40) and your 5 section scores (out of 8).
2. If you want a short, scored output with interpretation by email, tick “Email me my detailed results and interpretation” and enter only your name and email address. (Once you click on the "Get Started" button below, the readiness assessment form appears, and you will see “Email me my detailed results and interpretation” below that).
3. Your email output will include your total score, section scores, a simple interpretation, and the recommended next step - including the option to book a 15-minute interpretation call.
Privacy
You can complete the scorecard without sharing any personal information. If you request the emailed results, we will use your details only to send you the scored output and, if you opt in, only occasional insights and updates.
